DIY GOLDSTONE SPIKE EARRING Tutorial
Add a little sway to your day with our Goldstone Spike Earrings!
Pair these fun earrings with your favorite blazer or blouse and they'll transition you from day to night.
You will only need a pair of scissors and maybe some tweezers to pull the wax cording through the holes.
Now let's get started!
2 Antique Silver Kidney Ear Wires - Elements of Antiquity
2 Aged Pewter 2 Hole Connectors - Elements of Antiquity
24" Denim 4ply Waxed Linen Cording - Element - Elements of Antiquity
6 Goldstone Spikes - Halcraft
Arrange the goldstone spikes into 2 sets of 3. Place the longest spike in the middle and the two smallest stones on either side as seen in the picture above.
At the outer side of the goldstone spikes align the Aged Pewter 2 Hole Connector
Run the denim waxed linen cording through the hole of the Aged Pewter 2 Hole Connector and continue passing the cording through the holes of the goldstone spikes.
At the opposite end of the outer goldstone spikes align the second Aged Pewter 2 Hole Connector.
Continue running the denim waxed linen cording through the hole of the second Aged Pewter 2 Hole Connector.
Take the end of the right side cording and run the waxed linen cording through the top hole of Aged Pewter 2 Hole Connector.
Repeat this step to the left side as well.
Next, run the waxed linen cording through the top opposite hole of the Aged Pewter 2 Hole Connector.
Repeat this step so the waxed linen cording crosses each other at top.
Take the waxed linen cording back down and run through the bottom hole of the Aged Pewter 2 Hole Connector.
Repeat this step to the other side.
Run the cording around and in between the goldstone spikes.
And, finish by tying the wax linen cording in the back of the goldstone spikes.
Attach the antique silver ear wire.
Repeat all steps to make second Goldstone Spike Earring.
